AFIC@MCO Scholarship Program
At AFIC@MCO, we are committed to supporting food entrepreneurs by making our resources accessible to those who need them most. Through June 30, 2025, the AFIC@MCO Scholarship Program offers financial assistance based on the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Eligibility Criteria
Scholarship eligibility is determined by self-reported income levels in relation to the Federal Poverty Guidelines, with the option for AFIC@MCO to request proof of eligibility.
- At or below the Federal Poverty Line: 100% scholarship = $1,000
- Between 150% and the Poverty Line: 50% scholarship = $500
- Between 200% and 150% of the Poverty Line: 25% scholarship = $250
Any unspent funds by June 30, 2025, will roll over to cycle July 2025-June 2026.
What the Scholarship Covers
Scholarship recipients can apply the funding toward:
- Commissary kitchen rental fees
- Training and workshops offered by AFIC@MCO
- Technical assistance for food safety, scaling production, or business development
- Funds cannot be used toward food ingredients
How to Apply
- Applicants must complete a short scholarship application detailing their food business and plans for using the scholarship.
- Applicants must provide self-reported income details.
- Scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis, subject to funding availability.
